Brompton Community Housing
Painting with Purpose: Telling the story of community through art
Overview
Brompton Community Housing, a development company under the Texas Interfaith Housing umbrella, is committed to creating vibrant, livable spaces that foster connection and pride among residents. They provide housing under the principles of Equal Housing Opportunity, ensuring that renters are protected from discrimination of any kind.
For their latest housing development—Avenue at Sycamore Park in Fort Worth, Texas—they envisioned a large-scale mural that would celebrate the neighborhood’s culture, history, and future.
While the concept was clear, they needed a partner to bring the story to life—capturing not only the artistry but the heart behind it. The challenge was to translate the development’s mission into a visual narrative that would resonate with residents, visitors, and stakeholders alike.
That’s where LLYP Studios stepped in as Creative Director for the project, managing the storytelling, production oversight, professional photography, and final deliverables.

The Challenge
Brompton Community Housing wanted more than just a mural—they wanted a story. The development sits at the heart of a community rich in culture and history, and the goal was to capture that in a way that felt authentic, celebratory, and inclusive.
They needed:
- A compelling narrative to connect the mural to the community’s identity
- Professional video and photography to share with funders, residents, and marketing audiences
- Coordination between artists, videographers, photographers, and multiple stakeholders to keep the vision intact and the project on track
With only a few days onsite for filming, photography, and interviews, every hour mattered to make sure we captured the essence of the project without missing critical moments.

Our Approach
Using our brand storytelling expertise, LLYP Studios created a clear creative direction for the mural project:
Story Discovery – Interviewed the mural artist to uncover the inspiration, symbolism, and techniques behind the piece.
- Community Connection – Integrated the voices of residents, developers, and local leaders to reflect the mural’s impact on the neighborhood.
- Strategic Coordination – Liaised with Texas Resident Services, the internal marketing partner for Texas Interfaith Housing, and worked closely with their Marketing Coordinator to coordinate communication between all stakeholders and keep the project timeline up to date.
- Visual Narrative – Directed videography and professional photography to capture the mural’s progress, community interactions, and finished reveal.
- Production & Editing – Managed all footage and imagery into a polished 2–3 minute video and curated photo set showcasing both the art and its meaning.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with Brompton’s leadership and Texas Resident Services to ensure every detail—from storyboarding to the final cut—captured the true spirit of the Avenue at Sycamore Park community. Here’s what they had to say:
